Today I am reflecting on June, and talking about everything I have loved the most throughout the past month. Yes, I am jumping on the monthly favourites bandwagon! I love reading these kind of posts myself, so I thought why the heck not?!
Kicking things off with this denim jacket.
I spotted it whilst browsing on the New Look website and just couldn’t resist. It has proved to be a very worthwhile purchase as I have been wearing it none stop ever since. I don’t have much red in my wardrobe, so I have been LOVING this bright pop of colour. It goes with everything and I have no idea what I’d be wearing if I didn’t have it.
Secondly, I just want to take a moment to appreciate colour pop liquid lipsticks. I know, I am late to the party here, but I made my first colour pop purchase at the end of May and I can definitely see what the hype is about! Without a doubt, they have been my most loved lipstick of June. I can’t believe how long lasting they are without making your lips dry out! Game. Changer.
Moving on to my favourite TV programme… I can’t believe I am actually saying this, but it has to be Love Island. I gave in and watched it for the first time so I could see what everyone was raving about. Initially, I wasn’t too sure, but couldn’t stop watching anyway. Now, I am well and truly obsessed and I look forward to watching the drama unfold every night. I am not even ashamed of it anymore, it is just so good and SO funny.
My favourite album at the moment is ‘How Did We Get So Dark?’ Royal Blood. I’ve always liked Royal Blood but I’ve found myself listening to them loads lately. So much so that I have bought tickets to go and see them in Manchester in November. AAAHH! I am so excited!!!
I also wanted to give a shout out to an instagram account that I have been loving lately (because you all know how much I just loooove the gram). Siobahn, the mega babe behind @justaunifom, is bringing so much fun and colour to my feed. If you want all them happy, summery vibes, this gal has them in abundance.
I would like to conclude with my most loved moment of June. June was full of loveliness, but my favourite has to be the very last day of the month when I went to see Matthew Bourne’s “The Red Shoes”. Being a lover of dance, I just sat in absolute awe of the beautiful dancers in front of me. I think there is something so powerful about being able to tell a whole story purely through movement, and Matthew Bourne’s choreography is just so clever and utterly stunning. The set and costumes were also so amazing, I had constant heart eyes for about an hour and a half.
Oh June! You flew by in a flash, but you were oh so great.
Here is to many happy moments in July for us all!
Lots of love,
